Franklin Vannoy Jr., 54, of Delbarton, died Feb. 10, a week after he was hurt when his coal truck overturned while he was dumping a load of coal at the Greenbrier Minerals Elk Lick Loadout, near Lorado, in the Buffalo Creek area of Logan County. Coronado Coal is the parent company of Greenbrier Minerals. State officials issued no notices of violation related to the incident.

The Miami Dolphins, in partnership with USA Football, hosted a Player Safety Coach (PSC) Training at the Baptist Health Training Facility at Nova Southeastern University. The Dolphins covered the cost of training for the football coaches prior to the beginning of spring football practices across South Florida.
